Current weather

Wind values are specified both in figures (numeric) and as arrow symbols. You can learn more about the different monitoring networks ANETZ, SMN and ENET by clicking on the link in the "Monitoring networks" box. The measured values shown are only partly checked and may include gaps.

General map of the whole of Switzerland
The general map shows a reference measured value for each region. The values shown represent the 10-minutes average values for wind speed and direction, as well as the strongest wind gust for the last 10 minutes. Current values are updated every 10 minutes. If you click on a region you will see an enlarged image with further measuring stations.

Region
Current values are updated every 10 minutes. If you click on a station, you get a diagram showing the wind speed and the strongest wind gusts. To go back to the general map, just click on the "All Switzerland" link.

Diagrams
The diagram is updated once every hour and shows the values for yesterday and today. The mean wind speed (black) and the strongest wind gust (red) for the hour are shown. Above the red line the average wind direction of the previous two hours is shown. If you click on the "All Switzerland" link you go back to the general map and if you click on "Region" you go back to the region you were looking at.

If you are interested in further parameters, you can click on the relevant flag in the top toolbar. You will then go straight to the view mode you have selected at that time.
