Gipfelhütte Alvier im Schnee
The Swiss Federal Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research (SLF) in Davos is our partner in all things to do with snow and avalanches. The National Avalanche Bulleting appears during the six winter months daily at 17:00 hours, and in the summer months in the event of heavy snowfall up to the edge of the forest. Once a week during the winter, the section entitled Winter update describes and comments on snow and weather conditions that could potentially cause a risk of avalanches. Winter update is also updated in the summer, but only once a month. In Alps-Info you get information on current snow depths, temperatures and wind in the mountains, even in the summer months. This information is above all of great importance when planning to go to higher altitudes.
