MCH-DWH: the MeteoSwiss Data Warehouse System

The MeteoSwiss data warehouse project aims at establishing an efficient and extendable infrastructure for the collection, storage and administration of meteorological and climatological measurements and the relevant context information. Key element is a centralized and optimized database, the actual data warehouse, for analytical and infomation purposes. In it data are consolidated following a transformation and correction process, in order to store them on a long-term basis and in a consistent form. The MeteoSwiss data warehouse enables rapid and flexible access to high-quality data and is therefore of fundamental importance for weather forecasting and performing climatological analyses.

Further information and a comprehensive description of the MeteoSwiss data warehouse system can be taken from the following document.
